Drake and Josephine Kanaabo have served and fellowshipped with their home church on Bussi Island, Uganda, since 1982.
Our story
Evangelism is not a department. It is the assignment.
Currently, Drake has ministered in over 51 nations around the world, doing mass evangelistic crusades and training evangelists. Drake and Josephine serve and fellowship with their home church on Bussi Island, Uganda, and have been part of it since 1982.
Many believers spend years without speaking to a single lost soul about Christ, and in many churches evangelism has slipped to the bottom of the list. This ministry exists to put it back at the top — in the open air, in the classroom, and in the hands of ordinary Christians.
And because the gospel does not stop at words, the same ministry keeps a children’s home, a medical centre and three schools running on the islands of Lake Victoria.
The journey

1982
Drake and Josephine join their home church on Bussi Island, Uganda — the church home they still serve and fellowship with today.
The first crusades
Open-air preaching begins across Uganda, then spreads through East Africa and beyond.
2009
Christians for Israel begins operating in Uganda.
2011
Rapha Medical Center starts operating on Bussi Island, having run until then as a very small remote clinic in a single room.
Osanidde & Talemwa
The children’s home opens on Bussi Island, and the three Talemwa schools are built so the children never miss a term.
Today
Over 51 nations reached, 160 children at home, 2,400+ patients on free HIV/AIDS medication, and three schools running.
